On November 24, 1968, Pleasant Valley Country Club held its first reception, introducing a spectacular country club to the community of Pleasant Valley. The Arkansas Democrat stated the original 37,000 square foot building resting on 256 acres of land to be “stunning.” The classic brick building combined with its contemporary design created a country club that to this day symbolizes tradition and elegance.
The Club’s expansive facilities include a formal ballroom which seats 250, as well as other banquet rooms that accommodate groups from 5 to 100. Our dining rooms feature some of the finest foods in Little Rock. In addition, our upstairs lounge can boast of “the most exquisite view in west Little Rock.” Both our golf and tennis pro shops offer the latest in sporting equipment and apparel. Lessons are available from our highly qualified professional staff.
Our golf course of twenty-seven holes is one of the most challenging and beautiful in the Mid-South. Annually, Pleasant Valley Country Club golf course is ranked in the top three courses in the state. World renowned golf architect Joe Finger designed Pleasant Valley’s prestigious course to not only challenge the serious golfer, but also to allow the novice a chance to hone their skills.
For the tennis enthusiast Pleasant Valley offers fourteen lighted courts; four clay and ten hard-surfaced. In 2009 two (2) tennis courts were permanently covered to provide tennis year round and in inclement weather.
Renovated and expanded in 2009, the Fitness Center is the newest addition to Pleasant Valley Country Club and the first one of its kind, raising the standard of country clubs in Arkansas to include workout facilities. The state of the art facility, with a panoramic view over looking the golf course provides some of the finest cardiovascular and strength training equipment on the market today.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, our members seek refuge from the hot summer days at our Olympic-sized pool and children’s wading pool. Whether you enjoy soaking in the sunshine, splashing in the pool, or just enjoying a snack at the pool grill, the Club’s poolside is the place to be during the summer months.
Our entertainment committee works year round to offer a variety of social events for the entire family. Gourmet wine dinners, the June 4-Ball, and the New Year’s Eve bash are just a few events that Pleasant Valley Country Club members enjoy annually.
